Terracotta floors can be difficult to manage regarding the cleaning and sealing of them. This floor was very old and particularly bad in some area’s in that the floor was extremely porous. Keeping the floor wet whilst cleaning was a task in its self. Once the floor was cleaned it was left for 2 days to ensure that it had completely dried. Once our inspection confirmed there was no moisture left in or on the floor, we sealed the floor using a colour enhancing impregnator. As can be seen by the photographs the difference is quite dramatic.
