Amtico Floor Cleaning Service Lancashire

Tile & Stone Medic Lancashire don’t only provide natural stone maintenance solutions, we also work with a range of synthetic floors. One of the most popular choices for synthetic flooring is Amtico. Amtico is a hardwearing material used in commercial and domestic environments, available in a range of finishes. Despite its durability, Amtico can still benefit from occasional maintenance. Our Amtico floor cleaning service takes this burden off home and business owners, providing a great value solution to all Amtico maintenance needs.

Common issues

Amtico will stand up to a lot of wear and tear, but it’s not invincible. Large heavy objects dragged across the surface will leave behind scratches, sharp objects can even create chips in some circumstances. Be careful about treating damage like this with off the shelf products and equipment. Steam cleaners should never be used since they will cause irreparable damage and even some vacuum cleaners should be avoided. If in doubt consult a professional. To avoid delamination, bubbling and discolouration Spillages should always be thoroughly dried and cleaned up as quickly as possible, especially around the seams of the Amtico tiles.

Our process

To clean and restore Amtico flooring we begin with a dry sweep of the surface. Any dust, hair and debris needs to be thoroughly removed or it will hamper the main restoration process. Once the floor has been thoroughly swept the floor is stripped. Specialist Amtico stripper is applied and left to dwell on the surface of the floor, where it loosens stubborn dirt and marks. The Amtico is then washed to remove the stripper and the dirt with it.

Two coats of dressing solution are then applied to the Amtico. By dressing the floor we build a protective layer so ensure the results of the clean last for as long as possible. The two coats are applied at right angles for maximum durability.

Finally with the Amtico stripped we finish it to your specification. We provide a whole range of finishes, from matt through to high sheen, so just let us know your preference and we’ll endeavour to deliver it.
