Cleaning this marble floor in Birmingham was not too challenging, it was in good condition, but over the years had gone a little flat in that it had lost its polished look and also, it had a few light scratches over it. The work was to take 2 days.

Heavy duty floor cleaner was firstly mopped on to approximately 1 square metre of the marble floor and then using our 50 kilogram rotary machines with the appropriate ‘Cheetah’ diamond pad the area was worked on consistently over the treated area for 3 minutes. The floor was then freshwater extracted. The diamond pads remove a microscopic surface from the floor, exposing if you like, a new floor! This process was carried out over the whole area of the floor.

Once the process of grinding back the floor was complete, the next stage was to polish it. Water was mopped on to 1 square metre of the floor at a time, a small amount of ‘Klindex KP85 Polishing Powder’ was sprinkled on to the floor and again using our rotary machines with the appropriate natural hair pad, the floor was worked over for around 3 minutes, ensuring the mixture of water and polishing powder stayed like a yogurt consistency! The floor was then freshwater extracted. This process was carried out over the whole area of the floor.

Once the floor was dry it was then treated with ‘Miracle Sealants 511 H20 Plus’. The impregnating sealer was applied to the floor with a paint pad and left for 5 minutes. The excess was then wiped away and the floor then buffed back to a high shine using a rotary machine and white pad. Like new!
