Over time, this floor have become penetrated by dirt and grime. Travertine is a tough hard wearing material but this always happens eventually and in this case the grouting between the tiles had particularly suffered.
To begin with we cleaned the floor with a high alkaline solution as this material is extremely sensitive to acid. rotary machines were used to vigorously remove more stubborn marks before rinsing with fresh water. This process is effective at removing many kinds of dirt and scratches leaving the floor fresh and ready for sealing. In this case, our customer was after a smooth, polished finish, which we achieved with a very specific combination of equipment, sealant and polishing. Our experience at creating many kinds of finish on natural stone floors means we can create the best results for you. The final stage is to rinse off the polishing powder, leaving a stunning effect on this beautiful travertine floor.
