Victorian hall floor, cleaned and sealed for Mr Smith in Macclesfield Cheshire.
We were called in to have a look at a Lovely Victorian floor in need of some attention, as the owners had not long moved in and needed to have some major re-plastering and decorating work carried out and now wanted their Minton tiled floor cleaned and restored back to its former glory.
Our first job was to remove all dry surface matter ie plaster, raised glue, cement and paint using floor scrapers and a soft broom.
We then applied our heavy duty cleaner in combination with a stripping solution, which tackles old sealers, paint and glue residues etc, we let these products dwell for about 10 minutes, the floor was then scrubbed using rotary machines and black scrubbing pads, the floor was then thoroughly rinsed with fresh water via our van mounted hot water extraction equipment and all slurry was removed back to the van using our powerful vacuum system.
The floor was left to dry overnight, we returned the following day, checked the floor prior to applying 6 coats of sealer to leave a lovely satin finish.
Now they have a floor to compliment the rest of their new decor!
