Our process
Restoring worn Amtico flooring is a fairly straightforward process. Initially the floor is dry swept or mopped to remove surface dust. This is essential to stop the dust from disrupting the rest of the deep clean.
With the floor free of dust, it can be stripped. The stripper is worked into the floor to loosen ingrained dirt from the surface. After the stripper has been allowed to dwell the floor is washed.
With the floor stripped and washed the Amtico is ready for dressing. Dressing Amtico requires a couple of coats, applied at right angles for best protection. Application and drying of both coats generally takes around an hour, but varies depending on the size of the floor.
Once the Amtico floor has been stripped and dressed we can apply a final polish to your specification. If you would like a reflective or glossy finish we can polish and seal the floor to achieve these. We also offer a subtler matt finish or anything in between, just let us know.
