Our process

To begin restoring Karndean floor we must remove all surface dust and debris. A dry sweep and mop are used to achieve this. We need to ensure the floor is completely free from contaminants in order to get the best results from the clean. With the floor clean, we can set to work removing scratches and scuff from the surface of the floor. These are buffed and polished out gently.

The floor can then be carefully washed with a specialist PH neutral cleaning solution. The solution is diluted to the right consistency then applied across the floor and left to dry. Once the Karndean is dry, it is ready for use. It should not be washed again for at least 24 hours.

Where the wear to Karndean is more serious, we’d recommend and strip and refresh once a year. If your Karndean has lost its satin sheen, this will be the service you require. We apply a stripping solution to the floor and allow it to dwell before working in a refresher solution to restore the satin finish. Both chemicals are specially chosen and designed to work together to achieve a great looking finish.
