My stone floor moves, can you repair it?

Usually we are able to stabilise stone flooring where it has become loose. We can repair grouting and make spot repairs to the subfloor where necessary. However please note, we do not offer a re-grouting service and we can only carry out floor repairs as part of a full deep clean or restoration for your stone floor. Unfortunately, we are not able to attend to carry out repairs in isolation.

I’m not sure what type of stone my floor is made from, can you help?

Almost certainly. Send us a picture or a description and we’ll identify your stone. We always assess a surface before work starts in order to pick the most appropriate solution.

Can you remove soot?

Yes. We stock a variety of solutions which can remove stubborn soot marks from fireplaces in most cases.

Can you repair chips and dents in my fireplace?

Certainly, we have a range of fillers and sealers to repair minor damage up to an unbeatable standard. Please note we can only carry out repairs as part of a full deep clean or restoration. Unfortunately, we are not able to attend to carry out repairs in isolation.

My fireplace is a unique, vintage piece, will cleaning it damage it?

We’ll make a thorough assessment before work begins and will only use safe, tried and tested techniques to restore your fireplace to make sure that your fireplace is kept in the best possible condition.

What type of synthetic hard floors do you clean?

There are lots of different types of hard floors, and even more names. In almost all cases we can help you improve the appearance of your synthetic floor. Get in touch to find out what we would recommend for your specific needs.

My synthetic floor is dull, can it be fixed?

Most of the time yes, it can be polished and restored to much improved state. Synthetic floors tend to be quite hard-wearing so will stand up to the kind of polishing that will cut through the dirt.

Can you hone my marble?

Yes certainly, this is one of our key services.

Will removing scratches from my marble floor damage the ‘veins’ of the rock?

No, typically these veins run all the way through marble, so removing abrasions from the surface has little to no effect on the amount of veins in the stone.

Can you give my marble floor a matt finish?

Yes, if you’re looking for a less reflective or matt finish we can take care of this.

My marble floor used to be shiny, but is now dull and lifeless, can this be fixed?

Absolutely! This is one of the most common issues with marble since installations are typically taken to a high level of sheen. Our rotary polishers will have no problem restoring the shine.

What colours are available?

We currently have 20 different colours of grouting available. Contact us for specific requirements as we’re constantly on the lookout for new products and colours.

How do I protect my grouting?

When we complete our work, we’ll offer you practical advice on how to protect your investment. We’d always recommend common sense jobs such as regular dusting and hoovering, these can dramatically increase the lifespan of grouting.

How long will the colour of my grouting last?

Providing proper care is taken to maintain the grouting, the colour can last for years.

How soon can I walk on the repaired floor?

This will vary on a case by case basis but most floors will be fully repaired and ready for use the same day the repairs are carried out.

How can I avoid more damage in future?

We offer practical advice on how to protect your investment in future to keep your repaired floor looking great. We always apply sealant after repairing damaged flooring and this sealer should maintain a protective layer for at least 12 months.
